Welcome to the Kilgore ISD Bond website. During a board meeting on August 13, 2021, the Kilgore ISD Board of Trustees unanimously called for a bond election on November 2, 2021. The election comes following a recommendation of the Facility Needs Committee that met during the Summer of 2021.
The committee of 40-50 members, representing a cross-section of the Kilgore community reviewed district facilities by touring campuses and studying campus capacities along with current and future enrollment.
- This committee met three times from June through August and reported their findings, consensuses and made a recommendation to the KISD Board of Trustees of facility priorities to address
- The consensus was Kilgore High School, originally built in 1932, and Chandler Elementary School built in 1960 were the priorities recommended to be addressed in the District’s Long Range Facility Plan.
